I used Mr. Super Clear UV flat spray to start, then a combo of chalk pastels, water color pencils and acrylic paints with really tiny brushes and then coat with the Mr. Super Clear to seal, then acrylic gloss medium. 
There are some tutorials on Den of Angels so you might want to check there for more tips. Good luck!</description>
